Social Events and Special Performances
One of the many benefits of joining a choir are the social events and the Edwin James Festival Choir have been excellent ambassadors in organising an eclectic mix!
25th Birthday Celebration Dinner
August 2023
On 5th August, the choir, orchestra and patrons enjoyed a fantastic 25th birthday celebration dinner, with 77 people attending including representatives from St Barnabas Hospice, Chestnut Tree House Childrens' Hospice and St Wilfrid's Hospice who were presented with cheques for £3000 each to mark this special occasion.
Also present were representatives from Arundel and Littlehampton Scouts Association, one of the charities we are raising funds for this year.
The evening included brilliant singing as well as a synopsis of the choir and orchestra's history.
Congratulations to James and Chris (pictured with Noelle, our Chairperson) for a successful 25 years of music and fund raising. Here's to many more!
Littlehampton Town Show
September 2023
The choir set up a stall at the Show, displaying choir information and details of our next performances plus great bargains to purchase. The day also included excellent family entertainment, superb performances on the stage, other high-quality stalls and the annual produce and craft competitions.
Many thanks to everyone helping on the stall and to the public who continue to support us.
All monies raised will go towards the purchase of music.
Shuffleboard
September 2023
Following on from the sell out event in July 2022, we held a Shuffleboard evening, which was sold out!
Shuffleboard (Shovillaborde) existed in England over 500 years ago. It is an exciting variant of Shov-Ha’Penny. During the early part of the twentieth century ‘Sjoelbak’ (a Dutch variation of the game) emerged.
It was a brilliant evening of fun.
Film Night
October 2023
This was a very well supported event with excellent singing from the audience for this fabulous movie.
Everyone wore a Hawaiian Lei and enjoyed the drink and ice cream and had a great time.
This type of event will surely be repeated soon!

Coffee and Chat Socials
Our Coffee and Chat mornings in the Pound-A-Cup café are held on the 1st Saturday every month, hosted by choir members.
Dates for 2024:- 4th May (incorporating our Spring Fayre and Table Top sale) 1st June, 6th July, 3rd August, 7th September, 5th October, 2nd November and 7th December.
We look forward to seeing you!
